Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Shijak ("Shijak," "we," "us," or "our"), a software application for taekwondo team management, tournament scoring, and related record-keeping. By creating an account or otherwise using Shijak, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Shijak.
1. Eligibility and Accounts
Shijak is used by coaches, evaluators, athletes, and parents/guardians. Some users of Shijak are minors. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, a parent or legal guardian must consent to your use of Shijak and, where an account is created for a minor, that parent or guardian is responsible for the minor's use of the service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
2. The Service
Shijak provides tools for scoring, ranking, scheduling, communication, and related record-keeping for taekwondo organizations and individual competitors. Shijak is a record-keeping and communication tool only. Shijak does not supervise, referee, certify, or guarantee the safety of any physical activity, sparring match, tournament, or event. Any scores, rankings, or results recorded in Shijak reflect what users enter and are not independently verified by Shijak.
3. Assumption of Risk
Taekwondo, sparring, and related physical activity carry an inherent risk of injury. Shijak is a software tool used alongside such activity; it does not provide medical, safety, or supervisory services. You acknowledge and accept that participation in any physical activity organized, tracked, or scored using Shijak is entirely at your own risk, and that Shijak, its creators, and its operators are not responsible for any injury, harm, or loss arising from that physical activity, regardless of whether Shijak was used to schedule, score, or record it.
4. User Content and Conduct
You are solely responsible for any content you submit through Shijak, including chat messages, photos, scores, and profile information. You agree not to submit content that is unlawful, harassing, or that violates the rights of others, and in particular not to submit any content that could endanger, exploit, or harm a minor. We may remove content or suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our discretion.
5. No Warranty
Shijak is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that Shijak will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any data will not be lost, corrupted, or accessed without authorization.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shijak, its creators, operators, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of Shijak, whether based on contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to Shijak will not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim arose.
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Shijak, its creators, and operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of Shijak, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to Shijak at any time, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. You may stop using Shijak at any time.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Shijak after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
